Oktoberfest

Me and Suzanne having ice cream in the Englisher Garten.
Sweetest river surfers, so cool to watch them surf on a man made wave.
Marienplatz, there are little figures in the center tower that dance at noon which we waited half an hour to watch and got bored the first two minutes of them dancing.
View of Marienplatz from atop Alter Peter, we climber close to a million stairs for this view (exaggeration but still).
Inside one of the beer tents. I believe this one was Paulaner the first one we went into and had to get up at six in the morning to beat the rush except it was packed when we got there.
Just got back from Munich.  Oktoberfest was overwhelming and most likely will never attempt it again but I enjoyed every second of it.  Our hostel was in the perfect location for us to access the festivities as well as explore the town.  I had been worried that four days would not be enough time but I was proven wrong.  We arrived early Friday morning so we utilized the day and got to see just how beautiful the city is.  We were real tourists for the day.  At night the festivities began with everyone at the hostel.  Our pre-arranged tour group brought us to our first beer hall where I proceeded to make a business...I shall explain.  The beer was ten euro but if you brought your mug back you would get three euro in return, so I began collecting other mugs, one's left behind by those who were not told of this.  I probably profited a good thirty euro's until the worker yelled at me for being smarter then their little system, oh well.  Tents closed early which was perfect so that we could get some rest.  We were required to get up at six the next morning to go with our group. we were not aware that the halls do not open until nine, tired hungry and cold we waited with thousands of people around the world for three hours! It was a sight to see all the people rush in once they finally opened the doors but needless to say I did not get up the following morning for a re-enactment.  The weather could not have been better all weekend I was somewhat reluctant to leave it behind to return to the rain here in Sweden but that will soon change as I am off to Hungary tomorrow.  I will soak up some heat for you all in Budapest.
